The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup is set to kick off in Australia and New Zealand on July 20. This will be the eighth edition of the tournament, with a record 32 participating nations. The U.S. women’s national team, the reigning World Cup champions, will be aiming for their fifth cup and third consecutive title, having won in 2015 and 2019. They have been drawn into Group E alongside the Netherlands, Portugal, and Vietnam. The team’s first match will be against Vietnam in New Zealand on July 21.
