2023 WWE Night of Champions: Date, Location, Match Card, Rumors, Predictions, and Start Time

WWE is returning to Saudi Arabia on May 27 for Night of Champions. This event is part of the country’s Saudi Vision 2030 program. The card for Night of Champions is expected to have some significant matches with potential outcomes that could greatly impact the promotion.

Out of the seven matches on the card, five will be championship matches. The main event will feature Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa teaming up to battle Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the undisputed tag team titles. Additionally, Seth Rollins and AJ Styles will compete for the recently-reintroduced world heavyweight championship.

Both women’s titles will also be on the line. Bianca Belair will face Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship, and Rhea Ripley will defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Natalya. Furthermore, legends Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch will clash in a highly-anticipated match.

The Night of Champions event will be streamed live on Peacock starting at 1 p.m. ET on May 27.

WWE Night of Champions 2023 matches

World Heavyweight Championship — Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles: After Roman Reigns retained the undisputed WWE universal championship against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania, the world heavyweight championship was reintroduced. Rollins and Styles both reached the finals through different paths to compete for this coveted title.

Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes: Rhodes, who previously lost to Reigns at WrestleMania, will now face Brock Lesnar in a match after Lesnar attacked Rhodes on Raw, leaving him injured.

Undisputed Tag Team Championship — Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens (c) vs. Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa: The tag team champions Zayn and Owens will defend their titles against Reigns and Sikoa, who unexpectedly replaced The Usos as the challengers.

Intercontinental Championship — Gunther (c) vs. Mustafa Ali: Gunther, the longest-reigning intercontinental champion in the modern era, will defend his title against Mustafa Ali, who emerged as the winner of a battle royal.

SmackDown Women’s Championship — Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Natalya: Ripley will put her title on the line against Natalya, who made the save for Ripley after an attack on Raw.

Raw Women’s Championship — Bianca Belair (c) vs. Asuka: Belair will face Asuka in a rematch of their intense WrestleMania 39 match where Belair’s homecoming celebration was disrupted.

Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus: Lynch and Stratus will have a match at Night of Champions after Stratus turned on Lynch and they had a heated confrontation.
