Here’s how each player and coach Vlatko Andonovski did on the night:
Goalkeeper
Alyssa Naeher
USA • GK • #1
Had more involvement in this match compared to the previous one. Followed the shot correctly on the goal conceded but didn’t make the save. Still considered the best goalkeeper for these types of games.
Defenders
Emily Fox
USA • D • #23
Rating6.5
Minutes Played90
Was involved in the game early and tried to support the attack but faded a bit toward the end of the first half. Found herself in vulnerable positions defensively at times, allowing the Dutch to exploit spaces, but managed to recover in the second half.
Naomi Girma
USA • D • #4
Displayed her ability to read the game as a young center back. Conceded an early goal but made up for it by intercepting passes and disrupting the opponent’s play.
Julie Ertz
USA • M • #8
Continued her role as a center back, providing experience and leadership. Impacted the game with her presence on set pieces and made a crucial block on a late shot.
Crystal Dunn
USA • M • #19
Performed well at left back but had a nervy moment during the opening goal. Made valuable contributions by getting involved in the attack and initiating plays.
Midfielders
Andi Sullivan
USA • M • #17
Struggled in the first half but was given a chance to improve in the second half and did. Needs to toughen up as the key defensive midfielder, especially against stronger opponents.
Lindsey Horan
USA • M • #10
Started strong by connecting with teammates but had a quieter first half. Made a significant impact in the second half by scoring the equalizer and rallying the team.
Savannah DeMelo
USA • M • #9
Rating6.5
Minutes Played45
Started for the second time in a row and showed promise in the midfield. Actively sought out the ball, took a shot, and drew several fouls, although she also faced physical contact. Despite her strong performance, she was substituted at halftime.
Forwards
Trinity Rodman
USA • F • #20
Rating6.5
Minutes Played90
Had some nervous moments after the Netherlands’ opening goal but played well overall. Showed her ability to get involved in the game and drew fouls. Created a good scoring chance late in the first half.
Alex Morgan
USA • F • #13
Endured physical contact throughout the game as she was closely marked by Dutch defenders. Her movement off the ball helped create space but she didn’t have many clear scoring opportunities.
Sophia Smith
USA • F • #11
Was sometimes dispossessed due to holding onto the ball for too long. Won corners for the team and had a good scoring opportunity that was denied by a clearance off the goal line.
Substitutes
Rose Lavelle
USA • M • #16
Changed the game tempo when she substituted in at halftime, providing a quality assist on the equalizing goal from a set piece. Deserves to start in the next game.

Coach: Vlatko Andonovski
Missed an opportunity to make a statement against the biggest rival in the group. Was outplayed by the opposing coach but was saved by a strong performance from Lavelle and a passionate moment from Horan. The coaching staff made only one substitution despite having the option for more and it may come back to haunt them against Portugal. RATING: 5
