The Houston Astros have a chance to make it to their seventh consecutive American League Championship Series with a win. They currently lead the Minnesota Twins 2-1 in the best-of-five Division Series and will be looking to close things out in Game 4. The Twins, playing at home, will be trying to force a Game 5.
In Game 3, José Abreu’s three-run home run in the first inning gave the Astros an early advantage. With both teams’ number 4 starters on the mound for Game 4 and an off-day scheduled for Thursday, it is expected that there will be a lot of bullpen action. This could make for an exciting and unpredictable game at Target Field.

Game 4 preview
In Game 4, Joe Ryan will take the mound after not pitching since Sept. 29. Although he has been staying sharp by throwing on the side during the break, there may be some rust. The Twins will need their offense to bounce back from a slow performance in Game 3, where they went 1 for 9 with runners in scoring position and missed multiple opportunities to score. The Astros are in a good position and have the experience to close out series. The Twins will need to prevent the Astros from scoring early in order to have a chance.
Prediction
Yordan Alvarez will not hit a home run in Game 4, but that doesn’t matter. The Astros are likely to win a high-scoring game and advance to the ALCS. Pick: Astros 8, Twins 6
