The National League Championship Series between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Philadelphia Phillies continues Friday night with Game 4 at Chase Field in Phoenix. The D-backs won Game 3 with a walk-off single from Ketel Marte, but the Phillies still lead the series 2-1. Teams with a 2-1 lead in a best-of-seven series have historically won 70% of the time.
Game 3 was the first game this postseason to feature a tie score in the sixth inning or later. The Diamondbacks won a close game thanks to Marte and rookie right fielder Brandon Pfaadt. A 3-0 deficit in a best-of-seven series is difficult to overcome, but the Diamondbacks now have some hope.

Preview
Game 4 has a chance to be the most chaotic game of the NLCS. The Diamondbacks are opting for a bullpen game, and the Phillies are likely to do the same. Sánchez had a good regular season and pitched well down the stretch, but he hasn’t pitched in a game since Sept. 30. It’s unclear how long he can go in Game 4. Dueling bullpen games don’t always result in a lot of offense, but they involve plenty of pitching changes and strategic decisions.
Prediction
Here at CBS Sports, we just want to see more baseball, so we hope every series goes the distance. That’s why I predict the Diamondbacks will outperform the Phillies in Game 4 and even the series at 2-2. Pick: Diamondbacks 5, Phillies 3.
