THE TEXAS RANGERS

Adolis García led the Rangers to the World Series with an impressive performance. He became the fourth player with multiple home runs in a Game 7, tied a Game 7 record with four hits, and drove in five runs to bring his series total to a record-setting 15. The Rangers defeated the Astros 11-4, winning their first pennant since 2011.

García was named ALCS MVP, but he had plenty of help. Corey Seager had three hits and homered, and Bruce Bochy made strategic moves that paid off. The Astros, on the other hand, may be experiencing the end of their AL dominance.

THE PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES

The Phillies faced a disappointing loss to the Diamondbacks in Game 7. Aaron Nola surrendered four runs, and the Phillies’ normally hard-hitting lineup struggled to generate offense. Despite their strong performances leading up to this game, Bryce Harper and Trea Turner were both hitless. The loss marks the Phillies’ first Game 7 ever.

On a positive note, the Phillies will start Ranger Suárez in their next game.

Cousins threw for 378 yards and two touchdowns, leading his team to a 22-17 win. Jordan Addison also had a standout game with seven catches for 123 yards and two scores. The victory keeps the Vikings in contention with a 3-4 record.

Although the 49ers faced injuries to key players Deebo Samuel and Trent Williams, they are expected to bounce back.
