Logan Paul, who is gaining recognition in the world of combat sports, has announced his next endeavor. After his recent boxing match against Bellator MMA fighter Dillon Danis, Paul revealed that he plans to challenge Rey Mysterio for the WWE United States Championship in the near future.
In a post-fight interview, Paul expressed his passion for WWE and his desire to win various championships. He specifically mentioned his goal of claiming the U.S. title and targeted Rey Mysterio, whom he had already beaten once before.
Mysterio responded to Paul’s challenge, expressing surprise and anticipation for their upcoming confrontation on SmackDown. The WWE then announced that the two wrestlers will have a “face-to-face” segment on the show, likely leading to a championship match at WWE’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia on November 4.
Paul made his WWE in-ring debut at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022 and has since participated in seven matches. Although he failed to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship from Roman Reigns at the 2022 Crown Jewel event, he has been involved in various high-profile matches, including competing in the Men’s Royal Rumble, facing Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 39, participating in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and defeating Ricochet at SummerSlam 2023.
