In the 2023 World Series, the Arizona Diamondbacks won Game 2 against the Rangers at Globe Life Field, tying the series 1-1. The Rangers had a comeback in Game 1, but now the momentum is in favor of the D-backs as the series moves to Arizona for Game 3 on Monday.
Merrill Kelly dominated the Rangers’ strong lineup, giving up only one run, a home run by Mitch Garver, in seven innings. The D-backs’ lineup responded with hits from Gabriel Moreno, Corbin Carroll, Tommy Pham, Evan Longoria, and others.
The 2023 Fall Classic will continue until at least October 31st and could potentially extend into November unless there is a four-game sweep.

Why Rangers have home-field advantage in World Series
Unlike previous years when World Series home-field advantage was determined by the All-Star Game, this time it is based on the regular-season record. The Rangers earned the advantage with 90 wins compared to the Diamondbacks’ 84 wins.
