Arkansas has received a commitment from Selman Bridges, a highly sought-after cornerback ranked 50th overall in the 2024 recruiting cycle. With Bridges joining the team, the Razorbacks have moved up from 25th to 17th in the 247Sports team rankings. In the SEC team rankings, they now rank seventh behind Georgia, Florida, Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU, and Tennessee.

Originally from Temple, Texas, Bridges chose Arkansas over TCU, Texas, USC, and Alabama. He took official visits to TCU, Arkansas, and Texas before making his final decision. According to 247Sports’ national scouting analyst Gabe Brooks, Bridges is a multi-sport athlete with experience in basketball and track and field. He possesses excellent athleticism, with a smooth backpedal and a frame that allows him to excel in red-zone situations. While he may need to further develop his technical skills, his physical tools compensate well against high school competition.

Bridges is currently the highest-ranked commitment for head coach Sam Pittman and his staff in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Arkansas has 15 commitments so far in the 2024 class, including other notable recruits such as defensive lineman Charleston Collins and wide receivers Ashton Bethel-Roman and Courtney Crutchfield.
