LeBron James, despite his declining performance, is still trying to win another championship to add to his already illustrious career. He has won four championships, is the all-time leading scorer, and has numerous MVP awards and Finals MVP awards. However, this season will be challenging for him as he faces younger and more talented opponents. In CBS Sports’ top 100 player rankings, LeBron has fallen to the 12th spot, behind players like Jokic, Giannis, Steph, Embiid, and Shai. Despite this, LeBron is not finished and has the ability to surprise everyone. Last season, he still put up impressive numbers and led the Lakers to the Western Conference finals. While AD may be younger and talented, LeBron is the winner of the group. It is not uncommon for great athletes like Messi, Brady, and Djokovic to defy expectations and prove their greatness. LeBron, with a bit of luck and a healthy AD, can still surprise us all and make us reconsider his ranking. Sports history has shown that making premature assertions about the greatness of an athlete can be proven wrong.
