The WWE has announced that Elimination Chamber: Perth will be hosted at Optus Stadium on February 24, as part of the Road to WrestleMania 40. This event marks WWE’s return to Australia since 2018 and will be their only pay-per-view event in the Asia-Pacific region in 2024. Current women’s world champion Rhea Ripley, who is the first Australian female champion in WWE history, expressed her excitement about representing Australia and bringing a live event to Perth. Alongside Rhea Ripley, there are several other Australian superstars making waves in WWE, including Bronson Reed, Grayson Waller, Indi Hartwell, and Nia Jax.
Elimination Chamber completes WWE’s major event calendar for the Road to WrestleMania, which starts with the Royal Rumble in January and culminates with WrestleMania 40 in April. This year’s Royal Rumble will take place in Tampa Bay, while WrestleMania 40 will be held over two nights in Philadelphia. WWE’s global presence has been expanding, as seen through their recent efforts to host events in various countries such as Canada, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, England, and India.
