2023 WWE Fastlane: Date, Location, Start Time, Match Card, Rumors, and Predictions

John Cena is set to face The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso in a handicap match at WWE Fastlane. This event will take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on October 7th. Cena, a 16-time world champion, must now take on the dominant family of The Bloodline by himself.

So far, only two matches have been officially announced for Fastlane. Cena and AJ Styles were initially scheduled to face Sikoa and Uso, but The Bloodline removed Styles from the match. Now, Cena must find a partner or go it alone against Sikoa and Uso.

Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura will also meet in a rematch for the world heavyweight championship. This rematch will be held under Last Man Standing stipulations, meaning the winner is determined when their opponent fails to answer a 10-count from the referee.

Here are the confirmed matches for WWE Fastlane:

2023 WWE Fastlane matches

John Cena & LA Knight vs. The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso): Cena was left without a partner after The Bloodline attacked and injured AJ Styles. However, LA Knight came to Cena’s aid and signed the contract to team up with him against Sikoa and Uso.

World Heavyweight Championship — Seth Rollins (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (Last Man Standing match): Rollins and Nakamura will settle their rivalry in a Last Man Standing match. Nakamura has shown a dangerous side and aims to take the title from Rollins.

WWE Women’s Championship — IYO SKY (c) vs. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair: Flair earned the opportunity to challenge SKY for the title after defeating Bayley. Asuka also joined the match after saving Flair from an attack by Damage CTRL.

2023 WWE Fastlane predictions

Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre: McIntyre and Rhodes are likely to face off in a program as both are currently not involved in any other storyline. McIntyre has had issues with Jey Uso, and Rhodes has a history with Uso, making their match plausible.

Women’s World Championship — Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax: Jax made a strong return to Raw and targeted Ripley and top contender Raquel Rodriguez. A title match between the two powerhouses is expected, but it’s unclear if it will happen at Fastlane or in the future.

Intercontinental Championship — Gunther (c) vs. Tommaso Ciampa: Gunther’s record-breaking reign as the intercontinental champion has attracted attention from challengers. Ciampa, a former NXT champion, is closing in on a title shot after defeating members of Gunther’s Imperium stable. A contract signing between Gunther and Ciampa is scheduled for the October 2nd episode of Raw.
