Logan Paul has won his first championship as a WWE superstar. Paul used brass knuckles to secure the United States title by defeating Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio at WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday.
Paul’s presence in the WWE ring is no longer a surprise. He has demonstrated his athleticism, natural talent, and ability to create memorable moments. However, winning a title marks a new milestone in his career. Paul resorted to unfair tactics to defeat his more experienced opponent. After receiving Mysterio’s finisher move, the 619, Paul retaliated with a mid-air punch to the face using brass knuckles, securing the pinfall and the victory.
Paul has impressed in all of his past eight WWE matches. He made his debut at WrestleMania 38, defeating Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio in a tag team match with The Miz. Paul later challenged Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel in 2022. He also participated in the Royal Rumble, faced Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 39, took part in Money in the Bank, and most recently defeated Ricochet using a similar method.
The rivalry between Mysterio and Paul began after Paul’s criticized boxing match against Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialist Dillon Danis. Paul publicly requested a U.S. championship match against Mysterio.
